Romance vs. Love Story

Assignment:
- Watch documentary about romance directed by Laurie Kahn and entitled Love Between the Covers (2015). Be ready to discuss.
- Using Goodreads or other search strategy of your choice, find a contemporary book someone has identified as a “love story,” and read it. Extra points for finding a classic “love story” such as Gone With the Wind, Wuthering Heights, or Romeo and Juliet, and skim-reading that for comparison. Watch for tone, focus, and how the plot is resolved at the end of the book. If it helps, find a movie considered a “love story” and come prepared to tell us about it, too.
